I finally speak to Doc on the phone and
he asked me if I had been home when he called and refused to answer because it was him. I said I am not going to talk to you until our relationship is severed where I have to be around your drinking. He asked me if I would refuse to answer his calls in the future. I said whatever I need to do to move on I will do. I have become allergic to your drinking. He said okay and hung up.

Good Gerry, you said what he needed to hear.
Very symbolic header
Good for you. Helen
It sounds like he is ready to let you go too. Maybe you can just both move on to others and eventually be friendly only when you want to be. (Like the header...two separate people.)
Well done, maybe this will be the push he needs. Time will tell, I hope you are doing okay Gerry.
xx
I think your doing the right thing. I know it must be hard to not take his calls, but somehow, he needs to get the message about his drinking.
