What does Jack have to say after his disappearance?

I will try to pick up Jack wherever he is and have a conversation with him:
JACK: I will do my best to reply. I feel I owe everyone an apology in the complex for how much I upset people in my last months there.
GERRY: Thank you, Jack. But where are you now?
JACK: In a better place, but don't try to come here, Gerry, before your time. Take good care of yourself and try to live as long as you can. I know you got notice from your doctor today to have a cat scan but don't be scared of that. Just get it checked out. How I wish I had heeded this advice. You are a good communicator. Have no doubts about that. I tried to be but fell short for reasons that have to do with the distant past I was not able to change enough. My pattern of horrific drinking was one thing I wish I could have changed.
GERRY: I am worried about Doc. He is getting more fragile. He is not communicating with anyone except me.
JACK: I know, and I am sure that has to do with his distant past, too. He is doing better than you think though, because he takes an interest in doing these videos and that is communication of a sort. I have been watching them. I know I was too snotty about your stuff to watch many of your videos there. Thank you for the poem you wrote about me. It made me feel that I was missed.
GERRY: How do you like my sister LaRae.
JACK: She has been very kind to me when I have seen her. I hang out in the Westward Ho still. I have a lot of friends here who have passed
GERRY: I hated to think you had died. I hoped somebody took you home and sobered you up and you are still alive somewhere.
JACK: If they did I would still be in touch with you, Gerry, via the Internet. I have decided to utilize my knowledge of the Internet a lot better now just to stay on the up and up and be doing things. I had a hell of a drug habit to break of painkillers. So I must do everything I can to distance myself from substance abuse no matter where I am.
GERRY: That's true. Things couldn't have gotten much worse for you. You were at death's door for weeks.
JACK: I know. There are rehabs wherever you go. I am in a rehab now to stay sober and straight. This time I will not turn away from any opportunity to talk to people and know them better. I knew that love of people was the key to my spiritual growth, but I made a feeble effort to do it too many times.
GERRY: What shall I tell Mercedes who was in a bad wreck the week she was supposed to bring your stuff back? She got a head injury. I hate to talk to her because she was so upset about you.
JACK: Please try to convey to her my thanks for trying to help me. I apologize for anything I said about her the last time I ever spoke to you. I was just trying to blow smoke in people's eyes because I was waiting around to see if I could catch my drug supplier.
GERRY: I know you were out of your mind. She is too fragile right now to hear anything negative. I will never tell her that. You need to send her healing thoughts because she has always loved you.
JACK: I have been a spoiled man. I would try to get people to love me and then I was not properly grateful and thankful when they did love me. You on the other hand shared your concerns about me with Mercedes. You could have been too jealous to do that since you loved me, too.
GERRY: I always thought you belonged to the world, Jack. You have the potential to be a great healer.
JACK: Heal thyself is the healer's first motto. I did not try hard enough to do that.
GERRY: Mercedes is trying to become a healer. She was telling me how much energy it took from her when people were too negative.
JACK: Negativity sucks up energy. I was negative so many months, I feel sick when I look back on my last troubled days there. I hope I will never sink that low again in my spiritual development. I have received a great blessing here, Gerry. I have been forgiven for my sins. I have been blessed by angels.
GERRY: I am sure you have, Jack.
JACK: I was lifted up by angels and healed.
GERRY: That moves me so much, Jack, I must stop. Thank you for telling me this. Good-night.

Humpty Dumpty took a great fall as with substance abuse

Today I am talking about a three part series in the newspaper about a volunteer informant who was lured by angry drug transporters to a house, tortured and killed, despite being under the protection of law enforcement trying to keep track of him after a drug shipment had been confiscated. Well, this is drug war at the top where the big shipments of drugs come into Phoenix to be distributed across the country.
At the bottom level, we the people deal with the substance abusers who get so out of control they have to be evicted which happened recently in our complex to a resident who had been sober quite a few years. He was a popular attractive man so his meltdown to the status of homeless on the hard streets of blazing summer heat in Arizona was disturbing. I had seen him a few months before his descent back into alcoholism act as though he were under the influence of drugs I assumed to be illegal, and was alarmed, knowing that could be a trigger to a drinking pattern so extreme that death could well be the result.
I just don't know if Humpty Dumpty can ever be put back together again so he can survive a few more years. If not, his loss will seem like a frightful waste.
My own take on such loss of control is that we need better and more communication. That is why I have taken to talking each day out under the trees to everybody and anybody. I have given up TV so as to free up more time and energy for this important activity.
I think TV watching, all of us in our separate little cubicles, has changed us into lonely disconnected people, and the only answer is to make time for what used to be called 'neighboring' once again. The more bad news we hear on TV, the more fearful we become of everyone, and actually the more we don't talk, the more dangerous we may actually be, because TV watching is not interactive. Only a few people get to perform. So during hours and hours of TV related inactivity, we tend to abuse substances alarmingly. Even our children get fat from inactivity. And we remain undeveloped in so many ways, which is the fate of those who only watch and do not do.
Kids interacting only with a box do not develop social skills needed to raise communication to higher levels. It is no wonder political squabbles sound like people who have no understanding of what other people are all about, a bunch of ranting.
The internet invites more partipation from everyone which is what we need. I choose it over TV as my activity using the technological. I choose reading because so much more depth can be put into a good book which is not possible with TV and all the controls exerted over it by advertisers, etc.
I feel I have already made strides in my communication just by focusing on it and making sure I do it. I have been having the most interesting indepth conversations with an amazing amount of people. Why no TV program could be any more fascinating. I am hearing lots of stories of childhood difficulties that people have survived. And all the time I can see the people reviving like wilted flowers with attention focused on them and their stories. I have tried to watch so many shoddy creations on TV for so many years. I just did not have the courage to free myself from TV bondage. There was always the chance I might miss something. Now I think of what I have missed by spending so many years watching.
Had my friend been convinced that his salvation lay in communication, talking about his feelings of depression and boredom, perhaps he would not be fighting for his life in the hard mean streets. I knew he suffered from boredom, as he would say it. But he just did not connect enough before he substituted a concoction of poisonous substances to give him his high. Too many years among people addicted to the box. We were programmed to think we could not get along without it. I am freeing myself slowly and feeling sad because it may be too late for him. So think of change before it is too late!

To blog or not to blog: discussion on family site

The photo is of me and my four sisters at a younger age. Whenever we had a family gathering a photo with all five of us standing in a line, sometimes with our mother, was obligatory. LaRae, the middle sister, (in photo, too) is no longer on the earth with us, but we make a point to include her in everything. Somebody posted a photo of her most of us had not seen and it was kept on the front page of the family site for weeks which made it seem like she was right there with us.
Right now, in fact, is a good time to ask her what she thinks.
LARAE: Thanks for thinking of me. I was just itching to get into that there discussion this morning and tell everyone don't pass up any chance to communicate to the world, as it will come in mighty handy when you get here.
GERRY: Do you get discouraged trying to get through to us back on the earth?
LARAE: Do I ever! We are always having big discussions up here on how we can get our earthlings' attention, especially when a tornado of sorts is coming their way. We practically scream and jump up and down.
GERRY: You are just kidding. Folks, LaRae was a big jokester.
LARAE: Then the cosmos played a big joke on me and said death is for real which I did not believe up until then. It is funny how you think you are going to live forever until something ups and kills you.
GERRY: LaRae died of cancer but she did not have long to fight it before it took her.
LARAE: It was always too late to save me, that is when I found out I had it.
GERRY: I thought we were going to talk about blogging.
LARAE: I am blogging while I have a chance. You are one of the few people who gives me a chance to speak. That's better than a photo as I have a lot to say.
GERRY: Oh, what is that?
LARAE: All your boyfriends who keep dying want to talk to me. They want to be my best friend like they were your best friends.
GERRY: Do you have any objection? Send them on their way if they get to be a nuisance.
LARAE: Oh, I do. I tell them that you won't be along for awhile and I have to go. Now that Doc is threatening to kick the bucket, and I am probably the first one he will look up.
GERRY: I told him and told him he will not get the time of day from me, let alone from you if he drinks himself to death.
LARAE: We are not too fond of the substance abusers here. Anything but that. What a hard way to die.
GERRY: I am trying to keep from eating myself to death.
LARAE: Thanks but bilimia also helped do me in. However I do not think there is any danger of you trying that.
GERRY: There is no danger of me trying anything unpleasant.
LARAE: I wanted to tell you that when no one seems to be reading your blog think of me and a few other spirits pouring over it. We always read anything that will help us in our work to connect to the living and help them get over here when their time comes, or not get over here if there is no reason they should not live a few more years.
GERRY: Okay. That's encouraging. So you would like the other sisters to blog?
LARAE: Atleast they should discuss on the family site. Maybe asking them to blog is going too far. Only if they are up to it. I always read the family site anyway.
GERRY: I think blogging is one of the strongest ways to communicate there is. Because you have to keep thinking what you can say that will reach people, make them think, respond, write.
LARAE: That's why we like it It saves lives! Less work for us. Go after all those substance abusers. Get them blogging
GERRY: I use video blogging to hold off Doc's death. I think it has worked some. He loves to make videos.
LARAE: Thanks for including me. I need to go now. I feel someone somewhere needing my help. Ta Ta
