Saving one baby at a time 40 Days for Life

I am sorry this video is so dark, but I spent all morning here and down to Doc's making this one which I thought was lighted well enough on Doc's TV screen and computer. I just can't bother Doc again to make another one, but my voice is strong on this one, so I am hoping that the YouTube people might figure out a way to lighten it up as they sometimes do. In the meantime I think the message is very important.

Bill wants to argue with me about legalized abortion again

I am often very lonely at the end of the day and have no one to talk to. So I looked at this comment on my side bar and I thought oh, God has sent me someone to talk to, so I had better not complain because it is Bill. As you know we have every kind of person you can think of in this complex. And I am one for trying to make restitution for all the bad things I think my particular race has done to other races and those with different ethnic backgrounds. If a black man is sitting to the table I think here is a chance to do restitution for slavery and a bunch of other bad stuff, if it is an Indian I know a lot of bad stuff we have done to his people when we were illegals flowing into this country by the thousands and thinking up reasons why we not only needed to put Indian land to better use but why not get rid of the Indians entirely who just weren't going to get over the invasion. We had better weapons. Diseases they weren't immune to.
Now the Jews, I have felt particularly bad about what white even supposedly Christian nations have done to the Jews all too recently in the holocausts. When I was a little child I thought Father Abraham, Moses, David, and Jesus really were my ancestors and my people because I heard so much about them in my classes in Church and Seminary. So when the holocaust happened I could not get over Christians turning on Jews. So when I did get a chance to do restitution I was quite taken back at how mean a Jewish guy could be who happened to be Bill. Bill is not his real name. He sounded as brilliant as I expected a Jewish person to be, but was a dreadful skeptic. His favorite book which he kindly lent me to read was Carl Sagan's "The Demon Haunted World". It is now one of my favorite books, too. It had a lot in it about how the Jews were persecuted all down through the ages mainly because they refused to accept Christian versions of Jesus Christ. Many others called heretics were also tortured and burned because they could not please the authorities enough with what they believed. The present holocausts were certainly not the first ones involving the killing of Jews, who have been subjected to many purges.
Well, I was determined to love and accept Bill no matter how he acted. I figured that he had been so embittered by the crimes done to his people that I had to expect some problems with him. But Bill truly tried my soul, however I am still game. I still try to love those who have been sinned against no matter how they act. I believe that only through love will the embittered ever return to the fold, but I must admit it is a tall order to love Bill.
I ground my teeth a little when I read his latest comment which I will post here but after that I will still try to love him according to my philosophy of life.

What possible business is it of yours whether Sarah Palin decided to terminate or bring her pregnancy to term? I admire the Romper Room Lady who chose, so many ages ago, to avail herself of a safe clinical termination of her pregnancy, which was tainted by exposure to Thalidamide, in Sweden because it was illegal in the US. How many have died, whatever reasons they had, in the aftermath of coat hanger and Oil of Pine torture? You say you're not killing anyone here with your opinions... well, maybe not since Roe vs Wade, or until abortion on demand is fully outlawed by cruel and hypocritical Lawmakers. Allowing choice and making it safely available places the onus of any personal guilt for that choice on the chooser... legislating against the availability of this procedure places the onus of any tragedy to the chooser on the Lawmakers and the constituents who demanded such restriction. Which is closer to the idea of Freedom and Liberty for actual living and thinking Human Beings?

I have to tell Bill that I think the legalizing of the abortionist helps the mother commit a violent act, which is why I think it should be illegal. I don't think we can allow other people to take life with a clear conscience anymore than we can allow parents to abuse and kill their kids after they are born. I think it is just as bad for the humanity of parents to kill their unborn, especially a mother who must undergo what has to be one of the most depressing procedures on earth, with her mind churning about the violence and the finality of the act. Introducing death into the womb where it has not been before can I think have far reaching consequences affecting the life and future well being of the mother, too. The womb shrinks from such a violent invasion, the psyche recoils, everything turns this procedure into a nightmare.
Bill might want women to be left alone to do this if they want to. But the results have been anything but reassuring. More than a million abortions a year in this country alone, which suggests that the more you endorse violence the more people may be tempted to do it. Another reason for restraining them from having the means to do it.
It is just not good for people to have the temptation to commit this violent act reinforced by abortion advocates like Bill, suggesting this is just a harmless procedure and may be the right thing for you to do under your circumstances. I would be willing to put up with a lot of women turned pro choice by legalized abortion screaming and hollering at me that I had taken away their right to choose. I would be willing to sit down with them and patiently tell them my take on the situation, given that I was able to help with the overturning of this law. I would be willing to write books explaining why this ancient taboo against taking the life of the unborn is one not to violate.
Bill could have been the one his mother chose to abort had this law been in effect when he was conceived. My mother did abort her third child by herself with a catheter she got from an aunt. I was her first, but I felt endangered by her act, as she was in an absolute fury at my dad when she did it. My dad was the object of her wrath, but she took it out on the child. He or she had to pay. That might have been the only brother I would have. My mother spanked me throughout early childhood I thought because my dad was too tough and strong for her to whip, and she knew it hurt him for her to whip his little children. I felt her people did not support her, give her good advice, help her with her terrible frustration with her marriage. I came to see that she had good reason to be frustrated with my dad as a husband. She could also have killed herself with the abortion and left us motherless. But her dad was trained to deliver babies so she knew he would come to her rescue if she started bleeding excessively. He saved her life when she nearly bled to death from a miscarriage. He would have done the same with the abortion had she gotten into trouble.
But to my mind, my mother needed to be helped by many around her who were supposed to care for her, her mother and dad and brothers and sisters. Her mother-in-law, her sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws. In fact I thought she got more help from my dad's brother than she did from her own family with troubles with my dad. I thought the reasons for my mother's illegal abortion were many, but they all needed to be analyzed and more help forthcoming so she wouldn't be tempted to do it again. She must have gotten some help from many sources, because she had three more children with the circumstances not being much better, but she seemed to have made up her mind that her abortion was a mistake she was not going to repeat.
So instead of just making abortion a way of life, a woman needs to be helped to overcome all the problems that cause her to want to abort a child. Legalizing abortion is only going to add guilt and confusion with an unacceptable solution.
I am sure Bill is not going to be able to accept a loving God into his heart until he is a lot less bitter than he is now. But I do believe he thinks of me as a friend who will reason with him instead of just ignoring him. I think of his bitter comment as a cry for help, because I always know he is in dire straights.
His health is not good so he has difficulty earning money, and his income through disability is too small for him to live within his means. He was evicted from this HUD complex which may mean it will be some years before he is allowed back in one.
I have lived through years of disability so I know how dreary that can be. I am grateful for the subsidized housing which helps me live within my means. I was very sorry to see Bill almost inadvertently do what was going to get him evicted, thinking he was doing a good thing. I heard his justifications many times, but I think he was just too much of a disrupting presence for management to tolerate. I missed him after he was gone as he has a great smile and sense of humor. One of his long suites is being able to read instructions and follow them, but I felt he had to commit himself not being a disruptive presence. No matter what it took.
The only way I can talk to him now or he can talk to me is through my blog. I could reject his comments but I won't do that. I will just try to work with him.
Good heavens, there are thousands of pro choice people whose comments I find to be every bit as corrosive as Bill's. That's what being an abortion protester means to me, is you protest the thinking, and when you get responses, you try to reason with the people, change minds.
A lot of times if you write a protest to a pro choice newspaper, you don't even get the letter published, so you can get comments, but you have to change minds and hearts sometimes one by one. Bill is giving me the opportunity to present my case, and in a blog I am going to do it for the world to read, too, if they choose. Probably not many will read it, but this is my chance to go into what I think effective abortion protesting has to be.
This is more advanced and requires more reasoning power than standing and picketing at an abortion clinic or writing a letter of protest that is not published. I am printing Bill's comment and I am responding. I also put a brief comment after his on that entry, but I thought it also called for a larger response.
So many times in this world we don't acknowledge response even it it is not exactly what we want, even if it is critical and even seems to be nasty, still it is an effort to communicate some of that person's thoughts. He is 25 years younger than I am so he was only about 15 when abortion was legalized. He is an example of a person who has been educated to be pro choice, since he is a liberal democrat, certainly not a conservative republican in any shape or form. He also has to recover from a terrible holocaust of millions of his people. His beloved mother was a concentration camp survivor. His father was a Russian Jew she met in Brooklyn after she came to this country. His father died when he was young. People who don't trust people are bitter. So we have to cut them some slack if we are truly going to do restitution for the violence that was done to them. How can we talk of stemming the violence of legalized abortion if we do not try to stem the violence done to any people for no good reason, other than just for living where they did, having been brought there perhaps years before by distant ancestors. I always think of Jews as being more akin to Jesus who was a Jew so I love them, because I have always loved him.

I am still sad and worried after election is over

I got up this morning at 4am and listened to more election results, went down and got a paper, and breakfasted at Doc's apartment, where he had set up the camera for an after election video. We made three ten minute videos on the subject. I chose the third one which I uploaded to Youtube before I ate breakfast. He was, of course happy, because his candidate won.
I came home and went to my family site where my sister and her daughter were celebrating the victory of Obama. I decided I would have to compose an entry later that would not offend the Obama supporters too much. I then composed an entry for my g4life on http://www.azcentral.com. I had read the editorial page of the Arizona Republic down to Doc's and decided I needed to write a letter to them, as the blog likely would not reach many people. If they print it, I will put it in my blog.
Now I am back deciding what I can write on my blogspot Daughters of the Shadow Men which will not upset too many people. The life of a protestor soon results in utmost lack of popularity, as people become wary of an opinionated person on a very difficult subject. Abortion is committed by over a million people a year who ahere to the idea there is nothing wrong with it. These people become extremely hardened to protest.
I have an African-American grandson. Like Obama, his father was from an African country, and like him, his mother is white and for about 3 or 4 years I helped raise him, until my daughter's husband adopted him and has since taken very good care of him, my daughter, and their smaller son. There is nothing I would like more than to see life improve for black people in this country, but this progress cannot be at the expense of the unborn, the way I look at things.
I think that the moral bankruptcy that resulted from the millions of deaths of the unborn since Roe vs Wade has led to financial bankruptcy. We threw out our moral compasses. We no longer listened to the 'still small voice.' We took a step that had up to now never been taken in this country. We bought the idea that it takes so many deaths of the unborn to 'improve' society. By now all these children being taken out of their misery should not have led to this deep hole in which we find ourselves.
Wealthy and famous media figures are too protected and isolated from the suffering citizenry to see what their promoting of this hedonistic philsophy of life has wrought. Black people are too overjoyed to see that victory comes with a tremendous cost. If Obama tries to throw off the chains of his democratic benefactors who support this philosophy of death he will run into a firestorm. We did not see that last night. The enemy is not centered among the violent racists, whose sins are on a lesser scale. It is centered now in the supporters of legalized abortion, because of the millions of deaths. There is no comparison. The unborn have now become the victims of a relentless never ending holocaust in many countries of the world. I am afraid that it might take the end of the world to stop it because the defenders of legalized abortion have become all of us.
Killing is necessary to how many for the good life. Blacks will embrace this philosphy of life at great peril. They have already not been treated well in this country. To embrace those who think killing is all right is to embrace the poisonous serpent in our midst which we must dispel from ourselves.
I will call attention to this fact for you, my black friends. Beware of the serpent.

Signs of a big election participation means people care this year

I don't know whether to be super excited about the big interest in voting this year but I think every time America decides to vote it is a good thing. Doc and I spent the day doing a video about the two of us deciding to run for president We are announcing our decision and presenting our platforms. We finally got one we both could live with and it is on its way up to Youtube right now. I will be able to download it on this blog tomorrow.
I was happy that Sheria was able to respond to my objections to the democratic party's platform for choice without anger, even though I know she feels passionately about this issue. If we can all just manage to talk about the issues and different solutions without going to war with each other it will be a plus. She mentions some very important points for anyone to consider who wants to see the decision overturned when Roe vs Wade went to the Supreme Court, which in my opinion would result in far less deaths under the states' jurisdiction. I think the legalized abortion experiment across the land has been a mistake because the deaths are too high, and it has encouraged people to use it for birth control. That to me is not humane.
I do feel that every time people feel pressure from a rising population they are tempted to seek violent solutions. If man turns to violence that means he has essentially given up on the solutions from a higher power which would eliminate bloodshed. Legalized abortion was practiced heavily in China and Russia before the rest of the so called civilized nations adopted it to control the burgeoning population of the poor mainly, is my belief. The people who favored it were in too big of hurry to develop more civilized solutions to such problems. Maybe they were too savage to believe in them. If you read Chinese or Russian history, after their revolutions the communist party became responsible for large numbers of the adult populations being exterminated, as well.
The price we have paid for advances in medical science is longer lives. To those who hate a challenge, perhaps that is something that can't be tolerated without the option of pro choice, which means don't interfere if your nieghbor wants to abort her child, but my view on this was always that only a desperate woman considers abortion, and what society needed to do was support the non violent solution. Yes, that has to be done in every way, and it was being done before Roe vs Wade We had years and years of trying to make society more supportive of pregnancy so women would not seek back alley abortions or resort to the infamous 'coat hanger' to cause their own abortions. I always thought that society needed to take some responsibility for every abortion that happened in those days.
Now these support systems have been greatly weakened after 35 years of legalized abortion. It is as though we are pointing the way to the abortion clinic for desperate women. If we create a society where so many women are going to have causing the deaths of their own offspring on their consciences, we are doing a disservice to those women. Laws help women not to resort to such upsetting acts. Good laws tell women that society recognizes violence is not a good solution, so laws need to exist to help people not to commit violence. Abortionists should not be sanctioned by law, people who profit from the deaths of our own offspring. This should give anybody pause. And if we do not allow abortionists then we will be expected to provide other kinds of help to desperate women in order to save their children just as we did in this country for decades. We knew we had to provide support and many caring people were involved in providing support. Churches have provided sanctuaries for centuries for the desperate. We have to see the full picture. I was 42 years old before Roe vs Wade so I saw what was in place in those days, and how rapidly these services weakened with legalized abortion, until we are aborting children who wouldn't even be conceived if abortion weren't legal. That is how bad this law is. It encourages abortion, that is all there is to it, and if the numbers do not convince what will? I thought we still had a long ways to go in providing good outcomes of these kinds of problems. We needed to tackle them in all kinds of ways. Death is the most primitive solution possible, the one where the least thought is required, the one that says we are giving up on progress without killing.

Election conclusons...

As I struggle through this election process in the midst of a lot of financial turmoil, I have been trying to draw my conclusions about what I see shaping up. My new blogger friends won't know that I am such a political animal as my aol journal friends are aware of, but I now do a blog on http://www.azcentral.com which is the blog site for the newspaper, the Arizona Republic, which I have been reading for years and years. I just started my blog there several weeks ago called G4Life. I also do some political videos on my Youtube channel gerryking40 where my creative partner Doc has helped me to film 50 videos!
I took three of my plays and turned them into a mini series, with Doc and I playing all the characters improv style. I am holding up doing another series for a while, at least until the election is over. One of my series is taken from my play and my memoirs called Daughters of the Shadow Men, so if you want to find out some of what my life was all about I refer you to that series: gerryking40 on Youtube. Shadow men is what I term fathers and husbands like my dad who was essentially gay I thought but married back in the old days in lieu of ever 'coming out' so great was the stigma attached to homosexuality! Still don't come out but rarely in those country ranching towns. Most of the time the women or children are not aware, or only dimly aware in some cases that something is not quite normal in their relationships.
So this became one of my issues, the hidden homosexuality in some marriages and how it affects the other mate and the family. (This is behavior not just confined to the males, but I think it is much more common among men) I also had a grandmother raised in polygamy so that became another of my issues in Mormon Utah which eventually caused me to leave the church among other reasons.
My mother was also one of the women who was reputed to have aborted a child with 'a coat hanger.' I think she said it was a catheter that her aunt sent her. I never thought that this self induced abortion improved things at all, but I could see that her frustration with her marriage was the primary reason she became so desperate. (I had awareness of the problem my dad had when very young.) So the abortion issue became a big one for me. I have always been on the side of Life as my mother went on to have three more children, sisters I have enjoyed immensely. My mother went through a repentence process for a number of years, just as though she had committed a violent crime. She never tried to justify it.
I felt we had gone down the wrong road with Roe vs Wade, which overturned the restraints to abortion that had been in place in most of the states for years. New York I think allowed abortion for more reasons but most states did not. Because of this decision about which I thought the Supreme Court Justices were not prudent, abortion numbers went sky high and have remained at troubling numbers ever since.
40 million children are aborted every year world wide. The last abortion statistics reported over 1.2 million in this country alone, estimating about 1 out of 4 children aborted! A recent article in a Mormon Magazine Ensign reported that this yearly toll is more children than soldiers were killed in World War I and World War II put together. We have just got used to abortions. Well, so did China and Russia, and they also got used to the holocausts of millions of adults, too, as happened in Nazi Germany's attack on the Jews and other groups. We can become very blase about holocausts which are going on right now with the unborn as long as it is not us who are cast as the victims. What makes the abortion issue so difficult is because every mother who attains one is assured that she did nothing wrong by the abortion factions, and pretty soon she sees nothing wrong with it.
I am troubled in these elections because Obama has supported Roe vs Wade all the way, I am afraid because he perceives that was the only way for him to insure the nomination. Unfortunately he was probably right. Bush and McCain on the other hand have supported a war in Iraq for the wrong reasons that has been ruinously expensive, and so they do not have the support to win this election I am afraid. Such men may love making war more than saving the lives of the unborn. It is going to take not making such mistakes to do anything about abortion. The practice has become deeply entrenched.
So I await the election knowing that the democrats are the party of abortion and thinking how I will fight should they win. It will be hard. Clinton was a pro choice candidate I hated to see win as was his wife Hillary. Black people are generally loyal to the democratic party which gave them the civil rights they and the Kennedys fought for. But that was before the democrats encountered the deep pockets of rich democrats who favored the philosophy of abortion. I would say these are the liberal, leftist thinkers who were influenced by communist thinking in Russia and China, of which abortion became an integral policy. Did we want that? I don't think we thought much about it. Those who do not think much about their beliefs are doomed to be dominated by those who do and are willing to use force to implement their ideas. Abortion is a violent means to control population and a number of other factors thought to be 'necessary' in an overcroweded world, according to that line of thought. Money is a means to bring in the new order.
The new order was abortion on demand, so it will take some doing to restore the integrity of the democratic party, to my mind, of which I have long been a member. I vote republican when I think they are more principled, especially on this issue. But when I hear war mongering from the republicans I am thrown into a quandry and don't know whether even to vote.
